Ship before you generalize
Build the messy v1 with real users, then pull the patterns out of it. IRIS V3's design system started as five operator screens, not a table of tokens.
I design and ship industrial SaaS, design systems, and AI-native tools. I'm a product designer at Techco.lab, NETZSCH's innovation hub, where I design platforms like IRIS end to end. On the side I build AI-native SaaS solo.
Sole designer on NETZSCH's global HMI platform. Six product lines, one design system, in three languages across 36 countries.
Built and governed DASDS, the design system for NETZSCH's Digital and Automation Systems. Figma and React/Storybook, used across teams.
Citizen-facing portal. WCAG 2.1 AA, plain language, mobile-first.
Modular platform for solo health professionals in Brazil. Psychologists in production, nutritionists in beta. Designed, built, and operated solo.
Redesign of an industrial IoT monitoring platform, from discovery to Storybook. 33 component families, 179 stories, a navigable prototype.
Designer-owned full stack. Concept to live URL with Figma Make + vibe coding.
Things I built for myself: open source, AI-native, shipped because I wanted them to exist.
JSON-driven training plans generated by an LLM, pushed straight into Garmin Connect.
A personal travel app for 27 days across Denmark and Norway. Native iOS, anti-itinerary, planning generated by on-device AI.
Four principles I actually use. Each one maps to a project on this site.
Build the messy v1 with real users, then pull the patterns out of it. IRIS V3's design system started as five operator screens, not a table of tokens.
Industrial software gets used under gloves, glare, and time pressure. I tune color, hierarchy, and feedback for the worst lighting on the floor, not the marketing shot.
When it's faster, I go from design to React to deploy myself. Nerida shipped solo, start to finish, with Claude Code as my build partner.
I let the AI handle the tedious parts: boilerplate, wiring data together, first-draft copy, throwaway scripts. Taste, the decisions, and the system itself stay mine.
Recommendations from LinkedIn: designers, engineers, and clients I've worked with.
Product design and AI-native build work, whether full-time, contract, or advisory. I usually reply within a few days.
